Chicago has grown into one of the biggest tourist sites for Americans and international visitors. Chicago is a city that teems with excitement and attractions to expand the mind with knowledge, memories, and pleasure. It is a fine place to live and raise a family and to enjoy together the many facets of the city. You would never run out of places to see or to go. Start with a tour of the Willis Tower, the tallest building in the western hemisphere, and formerly known world wide as the Sears Building.
A focal point for families to share in the discoveries of exploration would begin on the Museum Campus that surrounds three main museums, the Adler Planetarium & Astronomy Museum, the Field Museum of Natural History, and the Shedd Aquarium. The Museum Campus connects the southern section of Grant Park, the distinguished Art Institute of Chicago, and Buckingham Fountain that merges into the downtown park along the lakefront.
A trip to Chicago would not be complete without going to a ball game. You have a choice of seeing one of two major league baseball teams play ball, the Chicago Cubs who play in Wrigley Field on the north side or the Chicago White Sox who play in U.S. Cellular on the south side. For the football fanatic you have the Chicago Bears who play their games in Soldier Field, and of course, there is the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association who play at the United Center. To round off the sports events you have the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League who also share the United Center and the Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer.
Other attractions include entertainment and the performing arts with diversified musical talents and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Many outdoor parks are hosts to numerous concerts throughout the city in the summer. One trip to Chicago, Illinois would not capture for you the zeal of the city. You would have to return to appreciate all that there is to offer in the windy city.
