Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood is rapidly becoming one of Chicago’s hottest real estate markets. This is because many homebuyers are attracted to the neighborhoods vast amenities which include public transportation options, new construction condominiums, access to local colleges and universities and many more.

Residents of South Loop Chicago reside within walking distance of many cultural opportunities including world renowned museums such as the Adler Planetarium, Shedd Aquarium, and the Field Museum. Located next to the museums is Soldier Field, home of the Chicago Bears. Soldier Field holds many other events including soccer games and concerts. Just south of Soldier Field is McCormick Place, a popular venue for conferences and conventions.

Another benefit of living in the South Loop is access to Chicago’s Loop and central business district. Many South Loop residents are able to walk to their offices while others take advantage of the many public transportation options. The public transportation options include the Chicago Transit Authorities Red Line subway and various different bus lines. By using the local public transportation, South Loop residents can get to all amenities the city of Chicago has to offer including both O’Hare International Airport and Midway International Airport.

The Chicago South Loop neighborhood is also the location of a few of Chicago’s local colleges and universities. Liberal arts colleges such as Columbia College and School of the Art Institute each have their main campuses located within the South Loop neighborhood. With the colleges comes many options for local residents to go shopping, out to dinner, or to a bar.

Over the past decade the South Loop has become one of the fastest growing neighborhoods in the city. New construction condominiums and townhomes seem to pop up everyday, which provides homebuyers with many of options within the South Loop. New development is sure to continue as city officials plan to keep the South Loop as a key figure in the city’s overall improvement plans
